　　主要研究方向：新媒体及传播政策研究。

　　清华大学教授，博士生导师，新闻与传播学院副院长，新媒体研究中心主任；兼任国家信息化战略研究中心主任，中国国际文化交流中心理事，全国教育技术学教学指导委员会副主任，国家图书馆专家咨询委员会委员，多所高等院校客座和兼职教授。

　　有代表性的成果和荣誉：

　　近年来作为第一负责人主持完成了国家九五科技攻关计划《基于多层次动态人文界面的大型多媒体演示系统》、国家863计划项目《网络媒体内容分级研究》、国家软科学项目《因特网对我国社会发展的影响及对策研究》、文化部《十五文化信息化发展规划研究》、国务院信息办《信息安全法律法规体系研究》、广电总局《高新技术对中国电视产业的影响及对策》、教育部《中国软件人材培养发展战略研究》、《中国现代远程教育发展战略研究》、《数字媒体研究》等课题；目前正主持教育部《终身学习体系的理论与实践》等研究项目。出版专著、译著有：《信息社会4.0》、《新媒体与创新思维》、《数字相机入门》、《今日媒介：信息时代的传播媒介》、《软边缘：信息革命的历史与未来》、《数字媒体：技术与应用》、《蒋士铨剧作研究》、《南词叙录注释》等。主要论文：Digital and Humanistic Issues in Communication、《全球信息网络化透视》、《WTO与媒介整合》、《现代科技在电影中的应用》、Development of New Media in Mainland China等。

　　曾获第三届中国优秀出版论文奖、2000年中国电影金鸡百花奖论文特别奖、北京市科技进步三等奖、美国时报杂志青年学者奖。

　　In recent years, has finished the Ninth national Five-Year scientific and technical tackle-key-problem plan " a full-length demonstrate multimedia system based on humane interface of multi-level trends " as a in charge of director ,the project of national 863 Program," hierarchical research of network media's content", the national soft science project" the impact on social development of our country and countermeasure of Internet are studied ", Ministry of Culture " the study of informational development plan of 15 culture", the State Council's Information Office " the study of system of laws and regulations about information safety ", General Bureau of Radio, Film and Television " the new and high technology impact on Chinese TV industry and countermeasure", Ministry of Education "Chinese software research of developing talent training strategic"," Chinese modern long-range educational development strategic research " , " the digital media studies " ,etc.

　　Preside over "study theory and practice of all the life system" of Ministry of Education research project at present. Publish the monograph , the translations are as follows, “informational society 4.0”, " new media and innovative thinking", " the ABC of digital cameras ",”modern medium: the spread instrument of informational epoch”,” soft edge: the history and future of informational revolutionary” “digital media: technology and application”,” the drama study of Jiang ShiQuan”, "the note of chat explanatory south-word’s recording ". Main thesis: “Digital and Humanistic Issues in Communication”, " the perspection of global information networking", "integrated the WTO and media" , "the application of the modern science and technology in film ", “Development of New Media in Mainland China”,etc..

　　Once awarded the third Chinese outstanding publish thesis, in 2000 awarded the special award of Chinese film’s golden pheasant's Hundred Flowers awards thesis , awarded the third-class in Beijing scientific and technological progress, and awarded young scholar in American Times ‘magazine.
