Chiwest’s online application process allows students to apply to Chinese universities through a third party. This saves the time and effort of interacting with a university across the world, which can be a frustrating experience.
Chiwest’s application platform requires students to follow seven basic steps. These steps do not require a student to mail anything or call a university abroad; everything can be done quickly and electronically.
Step 1: Register and Sign-in
Register your account with Chiwest（http://e-admission.edu.cn/）and get a unique username. This will allow you to use Chiwest’s services and communicate with their international student consultants.
Step 2: Select Schools or Courses
Browse Chiwest's listings of schools and regions to find something that works for you. If you feel lost, use their guide dog service to get personalized support. Their consultants will match your needs and interests with suitable schools and programs.
Step 3: Submit Your Application and Pay Application Fee
Fill out your simple application. Include any necessary documents, including other diplomas, grades and letters of recommendation. Once you’ve paid the application fee Chiwest can begin to the admissions process.
Step 4: School Processes Your Application
Your school will review your application within 30 days. Chiwest will notify you of your admission status through their website in your “MyChiwest” folder.
Step 5: Apply for a Visa at Your Local Chinese Embassy
Chiwest will provide you with the necessary paperwork to apply for a student visa once your application has been approved. Note that you must personally apply at the embassy for your visa or have a travel agent do it for you; mail-in applications are not accepted.
Step 6: Chiwest Service
Chiwest provides students with personalized service. They can provide hotel and air ticket booking, airport pick-up in Beijing and inexpensive cell-phone rental.
