　　Capital Normal University was founded in 1954. The university includes arts, science and engineering, management, law, education, foreign languages, art and other professions.  It is also one of Beijing’s key universities. In 1965, the university began to enroll international students. The education for international students varies from short-term course, undergraduate, master’s and doctoral courses. They also enroll long-term and short-term Chinese language course. Undergraduate students can learn any major including Chinese culture. Capital Normal University is also HSK (Secretarial) Center where in HSK exam also takes place, as well as the center for Mandarin Training and Exam. It is the only university in Beijing wherein students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan overseas Chinese students can attend remedial and college entrance examination training.

　　Capital Normal University’s College of International Culture promotes international cultural exchange actively. It has established connections with more than 60 universities all from United States, Britain, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Germany, France, Australia and other countries. Capital Normal University offers a number of preferential study plans to overseas students, all undergraduates students are exempted from the first semester tuition fees.
