　　According to reports, recently, Wei Bo, secretary of Party Committee of Guangxi Medical University, was invited by the Chinese Medical Foundation in Hanoi, Vietnam to participate in the WHO World Health Organization meeting. She was accompanied by Xiaoqiang, headmaster of International Institute of Education. The party of five visited their Vietnamese Friendship cooperation institution - Hue Medical University. They also visited the two largest medical schools located in southern part and northern part of Vietnam- Ho Chi Minh Medical University and Hanoi Medical University, they discussed about cooperating and expanding of enrolling Vietnam students’ in Guangxi Medical University.

　　They had a preliminary understanding about Vietnam education system and reached an agreement about confirmation of Vietnamese students’ graduate certificate after returning back.  It consolidated and developed the cooperative relations with the Hue Medical University.

　　Guangxi Medical University is one of the eight medical institutions which was the earliest institution to recruit foreign students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and international students. It is also one of the 30 schools who qualified to carry out full English-medium course. At present, the school opened clinical medicine and preventive medicine in English for undergraduate programs. Majority of Chinese-medium undergraduate program and graduate courses are completely open to foreign students. Besides the academic courses, the school has also set up short-term training programs taught in English and long-term Chinese language courses.
