The National Backbone

CERNET owns the dark fibre around mainland China, and the topology is a 3-ring structure centered round Beijing.

Global reach

Via Beijing and Hong Kong, CERNET has reached to US, Europe, Korea, Singapore and Vietnam, and the total bandwidth is over 3Gbps. In addition, some international projects promotes CERNET cooperation with other international networks greatly, such as Internet2, GEANT2 and TEIN2.
