China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL), a company under China National Offshore Oil Corp., (CNOOC), has recently developed a Formation Evaluation Tool (FET), a kind of stratum evaluation equipment long monopolized by a few transnational corporations.

The COSL-developed FET has been successfully put into its first operation on the sea, marking COSL's capability of making third-generation FET and applying it to operations on the sea. It not only filled a domestic blank but provided technological support for the company's raising market competitiveness and marching towards international markets.

Currently, COSL's services not only covers Chinese waters, but extends to seas along South America, North America, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
