The Beijing Int'l Space Navigation and Aerospace Technology Exhibition opened Tuesday, as part of the ongoing Beijing International Hi-Tech Industries Week.

The exhibition, titled "manned space navigation", is sponsored by the Beijing branch of the Chinese Chamber of International Commerce.

The show provides a full picture of the development of aerospace technology. Visitors to the show can experience the physical and psychological tests required to become an astronaut and the whole procedure for launching an electronic rocket in a " Rocket Launching Center."

According to the organizer, the exhibition aims to arouse greater interest and awareness about space technology among the public, especially among young people.
The exhibition will run for three months and afterwards it will be moved to seven other cities including Shenzhen and Chongqing.
