China on Saturday, for the first time, granted national demonstration titles for 11 students, who have returned from abroad, for career development zones across the country.

The title was granted jointly by the Ministry of Science and Technology, The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Personnel and the State Foreign Experts Bureau.

Since 1978 when China began its reform and opening-up policy, a total of 300,000 Chinese students have gone abroad to study and so far more than 100,000 have returned.

China has 50 career development zones returning students, along with housing and giving preferential policies to nearly 2,000 enterprises run by students who have returned home from abroad.
