Hong Kong Launches District Teacher Network Scheme Roving Exhibition

A three-month roving exhibition, featuring 36 projects of good teaching practices, was launched Saturday under the District Teacher Network (DTN) Scheme.
Through this Scheme, quality teaching practices are disseminated to primary and secondary schools as well as pre- primary educators in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ( SAR).
The scheme also aims to promote a sharing culture among the teaching profession with the view to enhancing teachers' professionalism and quality.
Speaking at the DTN Certificate Presentation and Opening Ceremony of the Roving Exhibition, Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, director of education, said the Education Department (ED) had set aside a yearly provision of 10 million HK dollars (1.28 million U. S. dollars) for the scheme and more educational organizations would be invited to participate in the development and promotion of the scheme.
Established in March 2000, the DTN Scheme was co-organized by the Education Department (ED), the Hong Kong Professional Teachers ' Union, the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, the Education Convergence and the Hong Kong Primary Education Research Association.
