China Recruits 47,000 MBA Students


China's MBA education has enjoyed a sharp growth in the past several years.

Currently, the country has 62 institutions of higher learning that offer MBA degree, some of which also recruit corporate managers and provide them on-the-job MBA training, according to sources with the Chinese Ministry of Education.

China had recruited a total of 47,000 MBA students by April 2001, with more than 32,000 still on campus.

Over 15,000 people had attained MBA degree by July 2001. Some of them have given outstanding performances in China's business circles, the paper said.
