China's prestigious Beijing  University has reached agreement with the Ningxia Hui Autonomous  Region to help train professionals for the region's institutions  of higher learning.

   According to the agreement, Beijing University will send  prominent scholars to Ningxia to give lectures.

   Beijing University also plan to send faculty members to give  classes in Ningxia. Candidates for doctoral and masters' degrees   from Beijing University will be selected as teaching assistants in colleges in Ningxia.

   Teachers with outstanding performance will have opportunities  to pursue advanced studies in Beijing University as visiting  scholars.

   In additions to support on Internet technology, equipment and  finance, Beijing university will also provide Ningxia researchers  with access to its laboratories and launch long-distance education in Ningxia's institutions of higher learning.
